Residential Mental Health Treatment in Palm Beach

Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is home to a residential mental health treatment program, which is part of what makes our facility so unique. The residential mental health program is able to accept patients who struggle with primary or standalone mental health disorders, meaning that a patient does not need to have issues with substance use in order to be admitted. Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches’ residential mental health program specializes in treating mood and thought disorders, including: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorders, trauma, grief & loss issues, self-harm behavior, adjustment & attachment disorders, and more.

Our residential mental health program in Palm Beach is designed to continue care after a patient has been stabilized in a more acute setting, such as a psychiatric hospital. It is important to note that this program is not a hospital setting; patients do reside at the Palm Beach mental health facility full-time with access to medical and nursing care around-the-clock, with trained mental health behavioral health technicians on staff to ensure patient safety and comfort, but in a more open campus. There is Psychiatrist/MD on staff at the facility full-time, five days a week, and AANP/AANCs on staff seven days a week. There is never a time when a patient will not have access to these services.

Our main goal at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches residential mental health treatment program is to help prepare patients for life outside of treatment. While mental health disorders may be chronic and lifelong, they can be effectively managed and treated by seeking professional care and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our residential mental health programs in Palm Beach support patients in need of mental health care and dual diagnosis treatment. Patients are encouraged and coached to develop healthy adult living skills and responsibilities while in our care, such as housekeeping and laundry. Vocational groups are also available.

As chronic mental health disorders cannot be “cured,” we ensure that each individual who comes through our doors is matched with the most appropriate aftercare post-discharge. We work with a network of 1,000 providers nationwide so that we are able to connect each patient with a doctor, therapist, or level of continued care the best meets their needs upon discharge from the residential mental health treatment program at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches.
