Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches Launches Understanding Addiction Free eBook Series

Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches has launched its first edition of a series of informational eBooks designed to promote awareness and education about addiction and chemical dependency. Released monthly, the Understanding Addiction eBooks – written by BHOPB CEO Alan Stevens – will look into the details of some of the most common and dangerous substance addictions plaguing our nation, as well as provide recommendations on how to choose a high-quality detox and recovery program.

These eBooks will be available for free and in the most common digital formats (EPUB, MOBI, and PDF) through bhpalmbeach.com. Every month a new book will be released, with each book focusing on a different substance-abuse related issue. The first book in the series is Understanding Pain Medication Addiction and is available now. It is our hope that by increasing awareness about the dangers of addiction, as well as how to properly select a medically-supervised recovery program, we can help improve the chances of recovery and the quality of life for those suffering from addiction.
