Vance Johnson to Visit Colorado on Speaking Tour To Help Addicts in Recovery

From the time he successfully completed the addiction treatment program at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, former NFL wide receiver Vance Johnson has been an outspoken advocate for addicts working toward sobriety and anyone trying to turn their lives around. Vance will be continuing his efforts to empower individuals by sharing his own personal story of addiction and recovery, when he speaks at several venues throughout Colorado in the month of October.

During the week of October 11 – October 17, Vance will speak to a large Colorado church, a youth group and another church in Colorado Springs or Salida over the weekend. Additionally, Vance will be visiting the Colorado Department of Corrections facility in Canyon City to share his testimony with the inmates at the facility.

About Vance Johnson

Before serving as a leader and motivator for recovering addicts around the world, Vance was a professional football player for the Denver Broncos. During his 10-year career, Vance played in three Super Bowls and caught 37 touchdown passes.

Following his playing career, Vance began to struggle with alcoholism, losing friends, family and money along the way. The premature death of his son sent Vance spiraling into an addiction nightmare, which ended with a near month long alcohol-induced coma.

Since waking up from his deathbed and getting treatment at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, Vance has become a champion for addicts in recovery. Whether providing inspiration through his triumph over addiction, helping family members work out problems through his involvement in the Problem Solving Theater Troupe or working with patients in rebuilding their physical strength and health, Vance has committed his life to helping others defeat addiction.
