Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches
Behavioral Health of Palm Beaches offers a variety of addiction treatment programs depending on the needs of the individual.
Our Adult Addiction Treatment Program treats drugs, alcohol, chemical dependency and behavioral issues. It comprehensively addresses the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of successful recovery. Unlike other addiction treatment programs, Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches recognizes each person as a unique individual.
Upon admission, each adult is thoroughly evaluated. This process includes complete psychometric testing and assessment. Based on the results, an individualized addiction treatment plan is formulated by our clinical staff.
Co-occurring Disorders or Dual Diagnosis

Co-occurring disorders, also known as a dual diagnosis, is the condition describing an individual with both chemical dependency and an emotional or psychiatric illness. This can include depression (bipolar), anxiety, o.c.d., personality disorders, etc.
Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is one of the very few facilities which appropriately and successfully treat co-occurring disorders.
We start with a desire for a better life...
Literally millions of people suffer from diagnosed as well as undiagnosed depression. Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is one of the leading addiction treatment centers for successfully treating what is known as dual diagnosed/co-occurring disorders. Co-occurring disorders/dual diagnosed addictions are when someone has both a chemical dependency and a diagnosed mood disorder, such as depression. Many people who suffer from alcohol and drug abuse also are clinically depressed or dual diagnosed.
Depression and other mood disorders are very treatable conditions. If necessary, our staff psychiatrist can prescribe the appropriate medication. Medication is merely to help the client maintain emotional stability. Our clinical team is extensively trained to recognize and treat mood disorders, especially depression. Dependency and mood disorders need to be treated concurrently to insure successful, long term recovery. By applying the proper therapy and addressing key underlying issues, depression and other mood disorders become simply a part of a recovering person’s program.
