Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is a residential treatment center. Our facilities are primarily located on a campus setting. It includes a medical unit, residential housing, therapy facilities, classrooms, sober living, and a variety of recreational areas.
 Medical Center
The medical center at BHOPB is located on our primary campus. It is hospital clean and staffed by qualified medical professionals. All clients at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches must be medically stable and in reasonably good health to qualify for admission to our rehab program. The first step in the intake process is a basic physical. This helps insure the patient is capable of physically participating in the rehab process and also protects the rest of the community and staff from any and all communicable diseases. The medical unit is staffed by MD's, psychiatrist, registered nurses and medical technicians. It is licensed for medical detoxification and stabilization.

 Residences
Here at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, once a new client completes the medical stabilization initial phase, they move into one of our beautiful, newly remodeled residences. This is known as the Florida model of treatment.. It is specifically designed so each client remains in a virtual reality type environment.. In this fashion, a client gets to practice what it is like to live in a reality based structured atmosphere. Studies indicate this method is more effective than placi ng the client n a more dependent situation.There are two resident campuses. Both are newly remodeled, very clean, comfortable, fullyfurnished, condominium-type housing. Each unit contains a full kitchen, living room, dining room, bed and bathrooms. One has a new swimming pool, the other sits right on the intercostals of the Atlantic Ocean. Once a client is ready to move into phase II, they live in one of two beautiful, newly refurbished facilities near by. These safe, secure residences are closely managed and supervised by full time resident managers. Clients are transported each morning to our treatment facility for a full day of therapy, treatment and activities. Both are very close to the ocean, see virtual tour . Clients are supervised 24/7 by trained professional resident managers.
Transportation is provided to our main therapy building, meetings and shopping outings.
 Therapy
Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches knows that one on one therapy and counseling is the most effective method of proving therapy. Each client here at BHOPB is assigned a fully licensed, highly credentialed therapist. They meet with their therapist at least three times per week to work on the client’s individual program and issues. All therapy and counseling, lectures and other recovery related activities are conducted at our brand new therapy building see virtual tour, conveniently located in close proximity to the residential housing facilities. (see living residencies) One-on-one counseling is done in a private therapeutic environment. Clients attend daily lectures, group counseling and discussion sessions in classrooms and lecture hall facilities. Each client has their own curriculum of daily activities which are set up for them to meet their own unique set of issues.
Recreation
Fun is a big part of being successful in recovery. At Behavioral Health of the Pam Beaches we understand that unless a client learns how to have more fun than they had when they were using drugs and alcohol, they will go back and use again, sooner or later. Under the supervision of a personal trainer, clients are encouraged to attend a regular exercise program. Our campus includes all types of activity areas including sports, relaxation and entertainment. Fun and leisure time activities include: going to the beach (weather permitting) barbeques, volleyball, basketball and quiet walks along the ocean.
